Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what you can do about it, in plain English.

Who we are

Pixieandpop (pixieandpop.com) is a family-lifestyle publication. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, reach us through our contact page.

Information we collect

Information you give us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. If you sign up for our newsletter, we receive the details you enter in the signup form, usually your name and email address.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site running, fix errors and protect it from abuse.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Pixieandpop itself doesn’t need cookies to show you articles. Some third-party services we use, described below, may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how people find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location and device type. We use this data in aggregate and don’t use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies.

Advertising

Ads on Pixieandpop are delivered through Revive Adserver (servedby.revive-adserver.net). The ad server may use cookies or similar technologies to decide which ad to show, limit how often you see the same ad, and count impressions and clicks. We don’t sell your personal information to advertisers, and we don’t accept ads that target children.

Newsletter provider

Our newsletter signup form is provided by Sphere CRM (link.sphere-crm.com). When you subscribe, your details are stored by that provider so we can send you emails. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your subscription details at any time.

Fonts and outside headlines

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when you view a page. Some pages show headlines from other family publications. Those headlines are fetched by our own server, so loading them doesn’t send your information to those publishers.

Third-party links

Our articles and headline lists link to other websites. Once you leave Pixieandpop, that site’s own privacy policy applies, and we aren’t responsible for how it handles your data.

Children’s privacy

Pixieandpop is written for adults: parents, caregivers and gift buyers. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you these rights and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you’re a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what we collect, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We don’t sell personal information.

To make a request, use our contact page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.

How long we keep information

We keep contact messages only as long as we need them to reply and follow up. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our tools or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
