Kids gift ideas that still get played with in March
Our gift guides start with one question: will this still get played with after the first week? A good gift for a kid doesn’t need to be big or expensive. It needs to suit the child’s age, survive real use, and not require a parent to spend an hour assembling it on the living-room floor.
When we write about kids gift ideas and children’s products, we tell you what we know and what we don’t. We won’t invent reviews, and we won’t pretend we tested something we didn’t. If a toy has small parts, needs batteries, or is loud enough to test your patience, we’ll say so.
Expect guides by age, by budget and by occasion: birthdays, holidays, party favors, teacher thank-yous, and gifts from grandparents who’d like to send something that won’t end up at the back of a closet. And expect plenty of ideas that aren’t things at all, like a day out or a promise of one-on-one time.
